About this site

Some short explanation about this site.
I began working on this portfolio website in 2020 while I was employed as a frontend developer. My goal was to create a small overview of all the projects I had contributed to over the years—something I could expand on over time.
Given my background in the games industry, it made sense to tie the concept to that theme. I chose a design inspired by collectible card games like Magic: The Gathering. Each card presents key information through pictograms, making the content quickly and intuitively accessible—just like in many traditional card games.
Technologically, I kept the stack relatively simple. The site is built on a custom PHP-based structure, using the Twig framework for the frontend and SCSS for styling. For local testing, I set up a custom development environment using Docker.
Over time, I’ve added many more projects — today, the collection features over 50 cards.
As a personal hobby project, the site is continuously evolving. Most recently, I introduced multilingual support. For now, it includes English and German, but technically it would be easy to add more languages at any time.
